Central Florida Alumni Club History
The Central Florida Phi Delta Theta Alumni Club was active in the 1950's and 60's. It was restarted in the Spring of 1989. It serves all of central Florida. This site will allow all Phi Delt alumni living in the central Florida area to have a place to get information about the activities of the alumni club.

Organizational Dinner. Bobby Duncan, Howard Stockton, Ed Hopper, Greg Rhodes, and Rusty Richardson. |
The following is an report published in the May, 1953 edition of The Scroll.
“The Central Florida Phi Delta Theta Alumni Association held a most successful Founders Day banquet on March 12 at the Dubsdread Country Club in Orlando.
We feel we have set some sort of an attendance record in having 59 Phis at our banquet, when it is considered that the Orlando-Winter Park area only has a population of approximately 80,000 and there are only some 85 known Phis in the area.”
The report ends with “Credit for such a successful banquet also goes to Andrew Serros, Florida ‘42, who completed dinner arrangements; Jim Robinson, Florida ‘40, who handled the presentations; Frederick T. Pfeiffer, North Carolina ‘43, who handled the finances, and Gene Williams, Florida ‘43, who handled the invitations. Of course the lion’s share of the credit really goes to Jim Kernohan,
Denison ‘34, who
ran around town
like a chicken
with his head
cut off, making
sure there was
no hitch in the
arrangements. --
Frederick T.
Pfeiffer,
Secretary.”
I’m sure most of
our current
members will
recognize
several names
from the 1953
article. Phi
Delta Theta is
truly “A
Fraternity For
Life”.
